Uetliberg Downhill

This was a photostitch of a whole bunch of shots from the P&S camera. This was an amazing section of the Uetliberg downhill run towards Tremli station. Too bad it was so muddy. I actually met a local trail builder right after I shot these. He was working hard at it, too bad, looks like there would've been tons to clean up after the 2 weeks of rain they had down there. Was interesting to get his thoughts on the trail system!

For those of you that have me on facebook, this is the spot I had lunch from on Saturday. Great food, great view and free wifi! Hard to complain with that. This spot has a tree that provides shade to the patio. Had a Cola and a Roesti based on Stans advice! Thanks, it was great! You can see the cable car coming up in the bottom right. From the lunch spot you can see the trains and ferrys go back and forth. Kinda like watching a small miniature toy train set.

Canola Fields atop the Uetliberg Ridge

Got the chance for some sunshine finally and decided to ride around the Uetliberg. It was a magnificant day as you can see, and I was surprised to still find farming and cows up here. There are two towers at the peaks of Uetliberg and I managed to ride up to both including coming down to make the trip a little more difficult. Total I ascended about 1000m of vertical for the day! New record for me for sure by bike.

So it's finally here, my new Miken MV-1. Our league switched to USSSA bats this year and this is gonna be my weapon of choice! Lets hope I can handle the lady!

Been a while since I've updated, been pretty busy. Got the new Elinchrom Studio lights in today. Peter was my lucky victim while I played around with them. Had a fun afternoon.

Grand Canyon Pano

Here's something a little different. It's been a while since I shared a Panoramic photo on my blog. I still take them, it's just that I feel like to get the full effect you have to see them blown up. Not easy to do on a photoblog. The full sized photo is 83 Mega Pixels. Its a stitch of nearly 30 shots. I did it hand held, so I left A LOT of overlap to make sure everything stitches up.

I'm gonna try sharing it like this, and if the feedback is good I'll post some more panoramas in the future.

This one is along the Grand Canyon somewhere.

Toronto Skyline from Polson Pier

The Toronto City Skyline at night from the Polson Pier View. I thought the ship in the foreground was really cool. I think they were loading our garbage onto it. Headed for our neighbors down south probably. If you're wondering, yeah, its even colder at the pier than down by U of T at night in the winter!

The tower at hart house from the field side view. U of T students will know this area well. I used to walk through all the time. Looks a little different at night.

Kings College at night in HDR

Another from my cold winter night HDR exploration of Toronto. For those of you that haven't heard the term HDR before, it's basically a photo with high dynamic range. Normally the range of contrast would exceed that of a single photo, so multiple shots are merged in one photo.
