Bokeh ~ A Japanese term to describe the beauty of the out of focus areas of an image. You can't quantify it, it's hard to describe it, most will never even realize why they like it. Next time you see a photo you like, stop and think about why you like it. Take a look at the blur in the background or foreground. You might find it soothing or pleasing, that is Bokeh.

I first developed an interest in photography while in high school and played around a bit with a Canon Rebel SLR (of course it was film). But it wasn't until I got my first digital camera that I was really able to start learning and progressing with my photography. You can find some tutorials and reviews I've written on my main site www.myPhotoAxis.com . Let me know if you have any questions or have any ideas for some fun photographic subjects.

Digital has opened up photography to more people than ever, and it's an exciting time to be a photographer because I think the overall quality of photos has been steadily increasing. I shoot because I like shooting, and I'd like to thank you for taking the time to browse around my blog!
